So you think you're weak?
I saw the grippy socks at the bottom of your drawer,
the pill bottles lying on the floor.
I found the razors' blades shoved into your hiding spot,
the scale shattered in the trash.
I see the way you look at food before you take a bite,
the way you look at every mirror you walk by.
Still think you're weak?
I know you picked yourself up when you felt no one was there,
you wiped the tears off your cheeks when you heard steps approaching,
you hid your arms and legs under long sleeves on the hottest of days,
you were forced to stop monitoring the number on the scale,
and you "lost control",
I know you tried to leave
But without saying goodbye?
Nice try.
You're still here, I'm still here.
Let's stay here together.
At least a little longer, please.
Still think we're weak?
We're still alive.
We are the strongest - want to know why?
Because we survived.
